Multrees recognised for its people-centric approach to apprentices with award win

Multrees Investor Services (Multrees), an award-winning provider of outsourced platform, investment administration and custody services, has won SME Employer of the Year at the Scottish Apprenticeship Awards 2023.

These awards recognise the important role apprenticeships play in delivering the skills Scotland’s businesses need to innovate and adapt. Showcasing the apprentices themselves, the awards also highlight organisations and individuals who best support apprentices.

Multrees became an apprentice employer in 2014 and has since hired 11 apprentices.  A commitment to apprenticeships is a key part of the company’s talent management programme.

The Small-to Medium Enterprise (SME) Employer category recognised organisations with fewer that 250 staff which had shown excellence in their support of Scottish apprenticeships.

Carole Lamond, Chief People Officer at Multrees, commented:

“We are delighted to have won this award, which reflects the high value we place on our apprentices within Multrees. People are the most important asset we have, and it is vital to build the confidence, nurture that talent and help them grow in their careers so our company can grow with them. We look forward to many more years of championing the potential of apprentices and what they can bring to a business and the financial services sector.”

Two of Multrees’ apprentices explained in their own words why they love working for the company. Rachel Miller said: “Prior to joining, I did a lot of research on Multrees and they’ve had lots of apprenticeships before so you’re in very safe hands. They’re very encouraging and supportive and it’s just a really good place to work.”

Multrees apprentice Phillip Blaney added: “You’ve got so much opportunity to grow, you start as an apprentice and then you’ve got all that opportunity to grow and move through the company.
